Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking part-time teachers/tutors who love working with kids and can create a positive learning environment. We provide 3:1 instruction in Study Skills, Reading, Math, and SAT/ACT Prep, and seek candidates with a Bachelor’s in Math or Education or current college juniors pursuing those degrees.

Commitment is 2–4 days per week, afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math or Education, or college junior/senior pursuing such degree.
• Experience with tutoring or teaching children is preferred.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to different ages and subjects.

Responsibilities

• Teach study skills, reading, math, and SAT/ACT prep to students.
• Provide 3:1 instruction and engage students in learning.
• Maintain schedules and communicate with center staff and families.
