Job summary

Sunnyside Community Services is seeking a Leadership Activity Specialist to plan and facilitate leadership activities for K–8 students in its after-school program. The role focuses on SEL and life skills, teamwork, and creating a positive learning environment.

You will supervise participants with the Group Leader, develop STEAM and leadership-focused activities, and collaborate with the Program Director to align with program goals and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or 18+ credits in education/leadership.
• Experience teaching leadership and afterschool programs.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise participants and ensure safety.
• Prepare materials in advance for activities.
• Design STEAM and leadership-focused programming.
• Integrate SEL competencies into daily activities.
• Foster resilience and positive peer relationships.
• Collaborate with Program Director on initiatives.
• Complete additional duties as needed.
