Sunnyside Community Services, Inc. seeks a Leadership After-School Activity Specialist for SONYC in Elmhurst, Queens. This part-time role focuses on leading leadership activities for grades K–8, with SEL and life-skill components, in a safe, engaging after-school setting.
Responsibilities include supervising participants, preparing materials, and delivering STEAM and leadership programming, while collaborating with staff and ensuring program quality.
We are looking for a responsible, enthusiastic, and team-oriented Leadership Activity Specialist to join our team. The Leadership Activity Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and facilitating engaging leadership activities while incorporating social-emotional learning (SEL) and life skill components for students in grades K–8 during the after-school program. Working collaboratively with the Group Leader, the Leadership Activity Specialist will supervise participants, ensure their safety and well-being, and create a positive learning environment that promotes leadership, character development, emotional intelligence, civic responsibility, and academic success.
This position will be a part of our Youth and Family Services offered at Sunnyside Community Services, which includes a pre-kindergarten program, after-school programs for elementary and middle school students, high school job readiness, career readiness, and enrichment programming and Adult and Immigrant Services.
$22 – $25
Monday – Friday 2 – 6 pm (Schedules may vary)
