Job summary

Old Colony Y is seeking a Group Leader in Bryantville, MA to assist in supervising a School Age program and ensure a safe, healthy environment for children. The role supports the Site Coordinator and promotes the Y's mission, values and focus areas.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, CPR/AED and First Aid, and 6 months of school-age experience; expect flexible hours including early mornings, late nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 years of age and 6 months school age experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
  • Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.
  • Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
  • Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work as part of a cohesive team.
  • Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
  • Will sometimes work early morning, late nights and weekends.
  • Strong oral communication skills for occasional public speaking responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the program under the School Age Site Coordinator to ensure a safe, healthy and constructive environment.
  • Uphold the mission of the Old Colony Y and reflect its values in daily duties.
  • Foster character traits of caring, responsibility, honesty and respect among children and staff.
  • Collaborate with team to maintain compliance with regulations and policy.
  • Support branch and program operations at Community Based Child Care locations.
