Job summary

YMCA Cape Cod is seeking Back to School Group Leaders for after-school programs. This part-time role involves creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment under supervision to help children grow physically, emotionally, and intellectually.

Responsibilities include relationship-building with families, lesson planning, supervising students, and maintaining attendance records. Must be 16+, CPR/First Aid/AED certified, and pass background checks. Typical hours 7am-9am and 3pm-5:30pm, Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid and AED Certification.
• Over the age of 16 years old.
• Must meet all Association-Wide training requirements in addition to those set forth by their Supervisor.
• Nationwide Criminal and Sex Offender Registry Background Screening.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive relationships with parents, children, school personnel and other staff members.
• Be a positive role model.
• Assist in planning and implementing quality program curriculum and lesson plans.
• Assist with supervision of children.
• Maintain a physically and mentally safe environment for the children.
• Attend required staff meetings and provide input on programming.
• Record-keeping including daily attendance and newsletters.
