Job summary

Good Shepherd Services, Ltd. seeks an After School Group Leader to oversee a group of students during the school year. Responsibilities include safety, planning and executing educational projects, arts and crafts, and group-building activities after school.

You will work 2pm-6pm, Monday through Friday, with up to 20 hours per week, non-exempt. A minimum of 18 years old and a HS/GED with at least 1 year of related youth work is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School/GED Diploma and 1 year related experience in youth group activities.
• Experience building camp culture through chants, team building activities, and community building.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the identified group of participants.
• Engage participants in after-school activities and model appropriate behavior.
• Ensure safety of participants at all times.
• Develop and facilitate a sequenced curriculum including arts & crafts.
• Plan culminating events and organize parent engagement activities.
• Track and support participants’ development and academic growth.
