Job summary

Good Shepherd Services is seeking an After School Group Leader to oversee a designated group of participants, ensuring safety and positive development after school hours.

You will implement a sequenced curriculum including literacy-related activities, arts and crafts, and group-building experiences. The role requires engaging with families and maintaining program records while reporting to a site supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED required with related youth work experience.
• Ability to lead groups and foster positive youth development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the identified group of participants.
• Engage participants in activities and model appropriate behavior.
• Ensure safety of participants at all times.
• Develop and facilitate a sequenced curriculum and activities including arts & crafts.
• Plan and prepare culminating events to showcase learning.
• Maintain records and communicate with families as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; support other staff.
• Track participants’ development and support academic growth.
