Job summary

Global Kids, Inc is a New York-based non-profit organization that runs after-school programs in NYC public schools. We are seeking a Part-Time Group Leader to run interactive workshops, mentor students, and ensure safe, engaging program hours in the afternoons.

The role requires a High School diploma and preferred college enrollment, with experience in youth programs and multilingual abilities (Spanish or French advantageous). In-person work in New York City is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Currently attending college preferred.
• Experience with youth using interactive learning strategies.
• Experience with English Language Learners.
• Ability to work 20-25 hours Mon-Fri and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate interactive, experiential workshops and activities for middle school or elementary school youths.
• Serve as a positive, encouraging mentor for GK youth.
• Help with group management, including transitions and safety during check-in, dismissal, and program hours.
• Assist with supervising students, ensuring they are never left on their own.
• Assist with chaperoning trips.
• Help with collecting program documents and attendance.
• Follow all GK, DOE, Youth and Community Development, and Health guidelines.
• Available to work 20-25 hours Monday-Friday and some weekends if needed.
