Global Kids Inc. seeks an attentive After-school Counselor to lead interactive workshops for middle or elementary students in NYC public schools, aligned with the DYCD SONYC initiative.
A High School diploma is required (college enrollment preferred); experience with youth, facilitation, and strong communication skills are essential. Availability 2 PM–6 PM on weekdays is required, with 20–25 hours weekly and occasional weekend shifts. Bilingual abilities and a commitment to diversity are a plus.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $22.00 Hourly
Global Kids (GK) is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and mobilizing youth to become proactive global citizens who are actively engaged in the world and well-prepared for their future endeavors. Our After-school counselors are Group Leaders who play a pivotal role in fostering a secure, nurturing, and enriching environment for young individuals beyond regular school hours. Their primary objective is to ensure the overall well-being, growth, and active participation of the students under their care.
We are seeking candidates who possess a steadfast commitment to youth development, global education, and social action. If you are passionate about making a difference and are interested in contributing to GK's community programs, which are situated within New York City Public Middle and Elementary Schools and receive support through the DYCD SONYC Initiative, we encourage you to apply. Interested candidates MUST be available from 2 pm to 6 pm on weekdays.
The salary is $18-$22 an hour. GK staff can also access retail discounts through our Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
