Job summary

Manhattan Youth is seeking several part-time After-school Front Door Attendants to join our programs in Manhattan schools for the 2026-2027 year. You will greet guests, monitor access, and help with bus arrivals and dismissals, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for children and caregivers.

These roles run on weekdays with schedules varying by school, during the NYC DOE calendar from September through June.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Proactive self-starter with a team-player mindset.
• Experience working with children ages 6 months – 5 years is a plus.
• Previous customer service or office experience preferred.
• Additional preference for candidates pursuing an Early Childhood Education degree.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet all guests and visitors to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Monitor entrance and departure of parents and children.
• Assist with bus arrival and dismissal.
• Direct parent complaints to management and supervisory staff.
• Hold doors open for incoming guests.
