Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking seeks enthusiastic part-time Chef Instructors in the Boulder area to teach kids cooking, nutrition, and healthy habits. Classes run weekdays 2-5 PM, with the team providing curricula, recipes, and training.

Instructors lead hands-on cooking sessions for 3-18 year-olds, travel to local schools, and maintain a fun, engaging learning environment. Prior experience with kids is preferred; ServSafe certification is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Are you ready to TURNIP the BEET on what Kids Eat? Sticky Fingers Cooking is looking for enthusiastic part-time Chef Instructors in the Boulder area to help us Cultivate COOLinary Curiosity in Kids! If you're passionate about cooking, have experience working with kids, and are looking for a fun, flexible, and meaningful part-time job, we want to meet you! What You'll Do

• Lead Hands-On Cooking Classes: Teach kids how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy, exciting recipes from around the world.
• Spark Creativity: Introduce kids to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging, interactive way.
• Stay Organized: Prepare for classes using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up fun, safe kitchen environments.
• Be the Face of Fun: Inspire and encourage kids as they gain confidence in the kitchen.

Who You Are

• Available to teach 1 hour classes (on campus 90+ mins) at least 2 days a week between 2-5 PM, Mondays- Thursdays.
• Experienced in working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids. Must arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Varies per school.
• Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
• Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Lift up to 30 lbs to store and transport materials.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.

A Day in the Life

As a Sticky Fingers Cooking instructor, you'll travel to different schools in your area to bring \"the kitchen\" to kids. Using our tried-and-true recipes, you'll teach them essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish-all while fostering creativity and confidence. From slicing and dicing to learning about global cuisines, kids will have a blast in your classes, and so will you!
