Sticky Fingers Cooking is hiring an After School Children's Cooking Teacher in Northern Colorado. Part-time role with classes typically 2–5 PM on weekdays, 4 days a week. You will lead hands‑on cooking sessions for kids, using our curricula, and travel between schools in the area.

Ideal candidates have experience with kids, reliability, and a willingness to obtain ServSafe certification. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered, with all tools provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids of various ages.
• Must be available 2–5 pm, Monday–Thursday, for 4 days a week.
• Able to arrive on campus 20–30 minutes before class time and manage groups.
• Willing to obtain ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Lift up to 40 lbs and have a reliable vehicle to travel between sites.

• Lead hands-on cooking classes for kids aged 3–18.
• Spark creativity by introducing new ingredients and cuisines.
• Stay organized using provided curricula and shop for ingredients.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a substitute for Chef Instructors.
• Lead Hands-On Cooking Classes: Teach kids how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy, exciting recipes from around the world.
• Spark Creativity: Introduce kids to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging, interactive way.
• Stay Organized: Prepare for classes using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up fun, safe kitchen environments.
• Be the Face of Fun: Inspire and encourage kids as they gain confidence in the kitchen.

Who You Are

• Experienced in working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
• Available to teach 1 hour classes (on campus 90+ mins) AT LEAST 4 days a week between 2-5 PM, Monday-Thursday.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids. Must arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Varies per school.
• Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
• Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Lift up to 40 lbs to store and transport materials.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.

  • Accrued Leave: Up to 48 hours of paid leave per year, for use of a variety of health- and safety-purposes, which employees "earn" at a rate of 1 hour of leave for 30 hours worked.

A Day in the Life

As a Sticky Fingers Cooking® instructor, you'll travel to different schools in your area to bring "the kitchen" to kids. Using our tried-and-true recipes, you'll teach them essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish-all while fostering creativity and confidence. From slicing and dicing to learning about global cuisines, kids will have a blast in your classes, and so will you!
