Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking enthusiastic part-time Chef Instructors in the Superior area to cultivate kids' curiosity about cooking, nutrition, and healthy eating. You will lead hands-on classes, travel to partner schools, and create a fun, engaging learning environment for ages 3-18.

This role offers flexible weekday afternoon hours, comprehensive training, and opportunities to impact children’s cooking skills while enjoying a supportive team and rewarding pay.

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids of varied ages and backgrounds.
• Available to teach 1-hour classes, on campus 90+ mins, Mon-Thu 2-5 PM.
• Able to commit to 4-12 week teaching sessions.
• Willing to obtain ServSafe Food Handler Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on cooking classes for groups of 8-14 kids.
• Spark creativity by introducing new ingredients and cuisines.
• Prepare for classes, shop for ingredients, and set up safe kitchen environments.
• Be the face of fun and encourage kids' confidence in the kitchen.

Sticky Fingers Cooking is looking for enthusiastic part-time Chef Instructors in the Superior area to help us Cultivate COOLinary Curiosity in Kids!

What You'll Do

• Lead Hands-On Cooking Classes: Teach kids how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy, exciting recipes from around the world.
• Spark Creativity: Introduce kids to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging, interactive way.
• Stay Organized: Prepare for classes using provided curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and set up fun, safe kitchen environments.
• Be the Face of Fun: Inspire and encourage kids as they gain confidence in the kitchen.

Who You Are

• Available to teach 1 hour classes (on campus 90+ mins) at least 2 days a week between 2-5 PM, Mondays- Thursdays.
• Experienced in working with kids of various ages and backgrounds.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids. Must arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time. Varies per school.
• Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
• Willing to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Lift up to 30 lbs to store and transport materials.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.

  • Accrued Leave: Up to 48 hours of paid leave per year, for use of a variety of health- and safety-purposes, which employees "earn" at a rate of 1 hour of leave for 30 hours worked.
  • Public Health Emergency (PHE) Leave: Up to 80 hours of PHE-related leave when a PHE is declared.

A Day in the Life

As a Sticky Fingers Cooking instructor, you'll travel to different schools in your area to bring "the kitchen" to kids. Using our tried-and-true recipes, you'll teach them essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish-all while fostering creativity and confidence. From slicing and dicing to learning about global cuisines, kids will have a blast in your classes, and so will you!
