Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a part-time Childcare Provider 2 for the Cheyenne Traditional site in Scottsdale, AZ. The role supports the Childcare Specialist in planning before/after school activities and supervising children.

Requirements include a valid child care qualification or diploma, 18 hours of annual training, and DPS fingerprint clearance. Salary ranges from $17.36 to $18.06 per hour. Position type is 4 hours daily and non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Must meet staff qualifications to be a teacher-caregiver under Arizona rules.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older and provide documentation of one of the listed qualifications.
• First aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
• Supervise the children at all times.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Maintain behavior standards and align with policy.
• Inform the Childcare Specialist of student activities.
• Participate in cleanup activities.
• Complete 18 training hours per year as required.

Education

High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and six months of qualifying childcare experience

12 credit hours from an accredited college or university including at least 6 credits in early childhood education and 6 months qualifying childcare experience

N.A.C., C.D.A., C.C.P., or C.P.C. credential

Associate or bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or closely related field
