Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic instructors to lead after-school chess classes in Channelview, TX.

You will guide 10–15 elementary students, using a structured curriculum to teach chess fundamentals and promote sportsmanship, all while maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment. Sessions are in the 2:00 PM–5:00 PM window with a flexible schedule of 1–5 classes per week; mileage reimbursement is provided for travel over 15 miles.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children in educational, recreational, or mentoring settings.
• Ability to lead classes independently and create interactive, fun sessions.
• Professional, positive, kid-friendly demeanor.
• Genuine desire to be a positive role model and promote good sportsmanship.
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals: explain piece movement, basic strategy, and simple tactics.

Responsibilities
