Job summary

Union School District in San Jose, California seeks an Activity Leader for the Extended Care program to support before/after-school activities. You will help plan and supervise engaging activities for school-age children and assist with homework, snacks, and routine health and safety practices.

Under the supervision of a Site Supervisor, you will greet students, coordinate indoor/outdoor activities, and maintain accurate attendance records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six units in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Six months experience with school-age children preferred.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, engaging environment for students in before/after-school program.
• Lead indoor and outdoor activities; plan schedule.
• Greet students and communicate with parents and staff.
• Maintain attendance and sign-in/out sheets.
• Assist with homework and snacks; reinforce positive behaviors.
