Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a part-time Group Leader to support after-school programs in New York City. You will set goals for participants, facilitate activities, and prepare lesson plans to create a safe, engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities include homework help, supervision, attendance tracking, and coordinating with tutors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with children are required. Hours are Monday through Friday, 2:15 PM–6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provides homework help, facilitates activities and supervises children in programs after school.
• Supervise and monitor attendance and daily activities.
• Assist tutors and activity specialists with behavior management and documentation.
• Maintain supplies and assist with data collection and participant records.
• Attend program meetings and perform related duties as assigned.
