Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Group Leader to support program participants after school hours, including homework help, activity facilitation, and curriculum planning. You will supervise children, maintain attendance, and assist staff with behavior documentation in a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Content-specific experience (sports, arts, literacy, etc.).
• Experience working with children.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task within timelines.

Responsibilities

• Providing homework help, facilitating activities and supervising children in programs outside of school day hours.
• Supervise and monitor children and take daily attendance.
• Assist tutors and activity specialist to manage and document behavior.
• Maintain supplies.
• Assist and maintain in data collection and upkeep of participants documents.
• Attend all necessary program meetings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
