Job summary

New Life Academy seeks a Lead Teacher for the Academy Adventures after-school program. You will plan and implement an enriching curriculum, supervise assistants, and foster a safe, engaging environment for Lower School students.

You will build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff, ensuring alignment with school policies and goals, while maintaining records and promoting positive behavior.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 2+ years of experience in an educational or ministry setting with kids.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Program Planning and Implementation - develop and implement a diverse after-school curriculum including academic support, arts, and enrichment.
• Supervise and lead assistant teachers and volunteers; conduct regular team meetings.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment and manage student behavior with positive discipline.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians and collaborate with school staff.
• Ensure safety and health compliance; keep attendance and incident records.
