Job summary

Verizon is seeking a detail-oriented Consultant to join the Cyber Security Operations team in a hybrid role. You will cover after-hours shifts, review security events, and alert leadership to critical issues.

You will support the Executive Relations Team, manage sensitive requests, and help with account protections. The role emphasizes documentation, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvements, including AI-enabled efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four+ years of work experience.
• Four+ years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work or military experience.
• Flexibility to work after-hours, weekend, and holiday shifts as part of primary coverage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and timely alerts.
• Basic understanding of wireless/wireline communications and account security principles.

Responsibilities

• After-Hours Operations & Monitoring: maintain continuous system and threat monitoring during after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage.
• Security Event Review & Critical Escalation: monitor daily security events and alert leadership on critical issues.
• Executive Relations & Account Support: assist with sensitive account requests, lock removals, and protection mechanisms.
• Documentation & Revision: create and revise operational docs and enrollment/de-enrollment tasks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with Cyber Security, Corporate Security, and technical teams to resolve escalations.
• Process Improvements: identify opportunities to improve operations and customer experiences, including AI usage.
