Job summary

Villa Healthcare is seeking a Nurse Supervisor RN to lead nursing staff during non-business hours, ensuring staffing, workflow, and care quality. You will act as the highest on-site authority after-hours, making timely decisions and coordinating with other departments.

Responsibilities include direct patient care as needed, administrative duties, rounds, and staff development to maintain high standards of care and safety across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-Term care and MDS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership to all on-duty nursing staff during non-business hours.
• Act as the highest-ranking on-site authority during after-hours and weekends.
• Offer clinical expertise and support in resolving patient care challenges.
• Develops and maintains care standards.
• Makes frequent rounds to monitor resident conditions and nursing performance.
• Gives and receives nursing reports during handoffs and shift changes.
• Ensures areas, rooms and treatment areas are clean and sanitary.
• Performs administrative duties and maintains medical forms and records.
• Provides direct nursing care as necessary and as department needs may dictate.
• Ensures restorative care notes reflect treatment and resident response.
