Job summary

Georgia Hospice Care is seeking an After-Hours Hospice Registered Nurse to provide skilled, compassionate care and advocacy for patients and families during on-call hours from Friday 5pm to Monday 8am. You will collaborate with the 24/7 triage RN team and the local hospice staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care.

The role emphasizes patient-centered communication, adherence to the plan of care, and strong clinical judgment in a compassionate, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current state RN license.
• 2+ years of nursing experience in clinical care; hospice experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation; ability to sit, stand, bend, lift 80-100 lbs and bear weight of an average adult.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients and families within the plan of care.
• Communicate with patient, families, and hospice team about the plan of care.
• Serve as the voice for patients and ensure quality care during after-hours on-call from 5pm Friday to 8am Monday.
• Work with 24/7 RN triage department and local hospice team to coordinate care.
