Georgia Hospice Care in Waycross, GA is seeking an After-Hours Hospice Registered Nurse to provide compassionate on-call care for patients and families. You will advocate for patients, coordinate with the care team, and ensure plans align with patient wishes.

Qualifications

• A heart to serve patients and families and a passion for providing the best possible care
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license as a registered nurse
• 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical care setting (hospice experience preferred)
• Reliable transportation; ability to sit, stand, move intermittently and lift 80-100 lbs

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours on-call hospice nursing care from 5pm Friday to 8am Monday morning.
• Advocate for patients and communicate the plan of care with patients, families and the hospice team.
• Coordinate with the 24/7 RN triage department and local hospice team to ensure quality care.

As a registered nurse at Georgia Hospice Care, you’ll be a voice for your patients, all while communicating with everyone involved in the plan of care—the patient, the patient’s family, and the hospice care team. You’ll serve as the patient advocate being able to ensure every patient receives the quality care they deserve. After-Hours Hospice RNs are salaried full-time positions to cover on call after hours from 5pm on Friday to 8am Monday morning. You will be fully supported by our 24/7 RN staffed Triage Department alongside your local hospice team.
