Job summary

Leidos is seeking an AFSIM Modeling and Simulation Engineer with an active TS/SCI at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. This role blends deep technical expertise with collaboration with government personnel, contractors, and a team of engineers to solve complex challenges involving highly advanced systems.

Responsibilities include developing and integrating system models into large-scale AFSIM simulations, creating representations of space and ground systems for AF/DoD use, and using CI/CD

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required or eligible for clearance
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience OR Master’s with 6+ years of experience
• Experience with AFSIM, extensions, and plug-ins

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate system models (satellites, radars, aircraft, missiles, C2) into a large AFSIM environment
• Collaborate with government and contractor staff in a cross-functional team
• Create AFSIM representations of space and ground systems for DoD use
• Apply engineering judgment to address gaps and model real-world systems
• Use CI/CD tools to test and evaluate AFSIM models prior to delivery
• Prepare documentation and analytic reports to support mission objectives
