Position Overview

Independent Contractor – Direct Services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use challenges. Provide support to enable clients to achieve personal goals, live independently, and participate in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying and communicating their requests and needs.
• Implement services aligned with each client’s Centered Plan.
• Provide daily support including transportation, meals, personal care, household chores, and documentation of care.
• Advocate, coach, mentor, and serve as a role model to support client independence.
• Participate in care team meetings and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with other support staff to ensure high‑quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Valid driver’s license (required if providing transportation).
• Physical ability to lift at least 30 lbs, pull 50 lbs, and perform required tasks such as squatting, kneeling, and standing.
• Proficiency in CPR and willingness to complete first aid training.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reliability skills.
• Compassionate, adaptable, and able to work under supervision.

Schedule
