Job summary

Housing Trust Group seeks a Property Manager to lead onsite operations for an affordable housing community, driving financial performance, resident satisfaction, and long-term asset preservation. You will oversee leasing, maintenance, and compliance with LIHTC, HUD, HOME, and Fair Housing standards.

You will manage staff, coordinate with regional leaders, and ensure occupancy targets are met while maintaining property conditions and safety standards across all systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of multifamily property management experience, including at least 2 years in affordable housing.
• The candidate must be Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) or Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) or obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Experience with LIHTC, HUD, HOME, SAIL programs and Fair Housing compliance.
• Knowledge of Florida landlord-tenant law and eviction procedures.
• Ability to prepare and manage budgets, explain variances, and read financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of an affordable housing community, including 24/7 emergency response.
• Maintain unit readiness and occupancy targets (≥98%), lead leasing support, and manage renewals.
• Ensure inspections and certifications (LIHTC/HUD) are completed on time and compliant.
• Coordinate capital projects and vendor work with leadership across departments.
• Lead safety, security, reporting, and compliance activities for the site.
• Hire, train, and develop on-site staff and set work schedules.
