Job summary

Volunteers of America-Texas is seeking a full-time Property Manager in Austin, TX. You will hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, manage property operations, and coordinate with case management and social services to ensure compliance and quality service.

Responsibilities include budgeting, marketing, reporting, daily property inspections, and resident relations. A High School Diploma or related degree with 3 years in property mgmt is required, along with a Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required and three years’ experience in property management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred and three years’ experience in property management.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and ability to be insured
• Demonstrated knowledge of LIHTC, PSH, HUD and conventional properties regulations

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines all staff.
• Manages the property office staff and/or functions, ensuring bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations are performed.
• Works closely with onsite case management and social service personnel.
• Supervises social service coordinator and function.
• Assists in budget preparation for the property.
• Markets the property in accordance with Fair Housing and the management agent's guidelines.
• Submits reports as required by the management agent or laws.
• Maintains office files for all business and financial records.
• Inspects property daily and coordinates repairs.
• Responds to resident requests and complaints.

Day-To-Day

• Hires, trains, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines all staff.
• Manages the property office staff and/or functions, ensuring that all bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations are performed as required.

• Maintains office files for all business and financial records, as well as properly crediting the computer and properly depositing all monies received.
• Inspects property daily to ensure building and grounds are properly maintained and take or suggest any actions needed for repair.
• Responds to all resident requests and complaints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required and three years’ experience in property management. OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred and three years’ experience in property management
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulations, acts, guidelines, etc. pertaining to LIHTC, PSH, HUD and conventional properties.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and ability to be insured
