Job summary

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley seeks a housing resources specialist to locate affordable permanent housing for clients in our Housing & Supportive Services programs. You will build relationships with landlords and housing providers while coordinating with case managers to support clients for up to six months after placement.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of related experience, plus strong verbal/nonverbal communication, interpersonal skills, and knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years experience in customer service, sales, marketing or human services.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients, staff and outside contacts with respect and courtesy.
• Maintain client and staff confidentiality per policies.
• Attend staff meetings, supervision and training sessions.
• Work with landlords, boards of social services, realtors and housing authorities to identify housing opportunities.
• Coordinate with case managers to support clients six months post-placement.
• Identify and resolve barriers to permanent housing with leadership.
