Job summary

VMRC Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a full-time exempt admissions coordinator to be the primary resident contact from admissions through transfer or discharge. You will build relationships with residents and their families and link residents to services as needed.

Collaborating with the Director of Affordable Housing and Vice President of Independent Living, you will review and implement housing policies in line with VMRC missions and HUD regulations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services and at least 2 years’ experience with senior adults.
• Ability to supervise, coordinate, and lead activities of others.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Collaborate across the organization with staff, residents, families, and stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong command of English, written and spoken.
• Self-motivated, organized, and flexible to priorities.
• Experience working independently and in a team; second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resident contact from admissions through transfer/discharge.
• Build relationships with residents and families and link residents to services as needed.
• Ensure resident issues and concerns receive appropriate responses.
• Work with the Director of Affordable Housing and VP of Independent Living on housing policies.
• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations.
