Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community (VMRC) is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct, hands-on care in a senior living environment under licensed nurse supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, promote resident comfort and dignity, and communicate changes in condition to the care team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Must meet one of: Virginia CNA license; VN Board nursing aide certificate; or provide 40+ hours of clinical care with RN/LPN licensure prep.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a senior living setting under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote comfort and dignity.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition; contribute to a safe, compassionate, person-centered environment.
