Job summary

VOA Chesapeake & Carolinas is seeking a Resident Manager to oversee Maple Court properties, manage day-to-day operations, collect rent, and coordinate with veteran affairs and service partners. You will supervise facilities, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with external agencies to support residents.

The role requires strong customer service, budgeting, and community outreach skills, with an emphasis on equity, accessibility, and reliable communication with the VP and DOO.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fair housing practices and regulations.
• Experience working with residents in diverse communities.
• Strong customer service and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure property complies with NCHFA/VA and other governing bodies.
• Collect rent and other property fees from tenants.
• Pay property expenses including taxes, mortgages, payroll, insurance and maintenance.
• Report financial status, occupancy, and expiring leases to owners.
• Participate in annual budget meetings with VP and budgeting analytics.
• Prepare and maintain records and correspondence for properties and tenants.
• Advertise vacancies and perform leasing duties as needed.
• Screen tenants via interviews and background checks.
• Inspect properties and arrange repairs and new materials as required.
• Develop partnerships to provide services to Maple Court residents.
