Job summary

HDC MidAtlantic in Exeter, PA seeks a Maintenance Technician I to manage day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and readiness of affordable housing communities. Under the Community Manager, you ensure safety, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction while delivering trauma-informed service.

Responsibilities include completing work orders within 24 hours for emergencies and 3 days for non-emergencies, coordinating with vendors, maintaining inventory, and supporting capital projects across multiple

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.
• Some hands-on maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing operational needs.
• Must be open to learning property management software and standard maintenance technology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a responsive, respectful point of contact for residents’ maintenance needs.
• Complete work orders promptly and efficiently (within 24 hours for emergency and 3 days for non-emergency).
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to reduce emergencies.
• Coordinate with Community Manager to prioritize unit turns and meet occupancy goals.
• Maintain inventory, purchase materials, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
