Job summary

Cruz Management Company Inc. is seeking a Leasing Agent to be the first point of contact for prospective and current residents, handling tours, applications, and move-ins. You will support daily office operations and assist with documentation and communications related to HUD/LIHTC programs.

The role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to learn Yardi software while coordinating with the Property Manager and maintenance team to ensure smooth tenant experiences.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or Associate's degree preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; previous customer service, administrative, retail, hospitality, reception, or sales experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn Yardi software and basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to handle stress and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents, visitors, and current residents.
• Answer calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries professionally and courteously.
• Conduct apartment and community tours for prospective residents.
• Explain leasing processes and affordable housing eligibility requirements.
• Assist with rental applications and required documentation.
• Process applications and forward files for review by Property Manager or Occupancy Specialist.
• Prepare lease documents, move-in packets, and resident correspondence.
