Job summary

Mill Creek Residential is seeking a Compliance Specialist to manage affordable housing programs, approvals, and related reports across communities. You will ensure eligibility, conduct interviews, and maintain accurate certification files while supporting leasing teams.

You will collaborate with agencies during audits and oversee regulatory compliance, waitlists, and on-site software systems. Strong communication and customer-service focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior affordable housing compliance experience required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in multi-family property management, retail sales or hospitality helpful.

Responsibilities

• Certifies new applicants for tax credit or affordable programs to determine eligibility.
• Interviews households to obtain verifications and completes income/assets calculations.
• Tours communities, moves in eligible households, and enters data into management software.
• Performs annual re-certifications and ensures timely completion and accuracy of documentation.
• Leads and mentors leasing consultants during certification and re-certification processes.
• Meets agencies during audits and prepares required paperwork and reports.
• Ensures compliance with HUD/Agency regulations and manages wait lists and reporting.
