Job summary

Allied Residential is seeking a meticulous Compliance Assistant to support the Community Manager and ensure properties meet regulatory and company standards. You will prepare recertifications, verify eligibility, and maintain records for audits across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn affordable housing compliance, including HUD and LIHTC requirements, with strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and accurate in file review and data entry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with colleagues and residents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to use Outlook, Excel, Word for reporting.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required for travel between properties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review move-in, interim, and annual recertification files for compliance.
• Verify income, assets, and household eligibility per LIHTC/HUD rules.
• Maintain organized resident files for audits and inspections.
• Respond to documentation requests during reviews and audits.
• Generate monthly recertification notices and track status updates.
• Provide progress reports to Community and Portfolio Managers.
