NHE, Inc. seeks a Community Manager for our Affordable Management unit to oversee fiscal accountability, marketing, regulatory compliance, and asset management for LIHTC/Section 8 properties.

You will supervise onsite staff, handle leasing, wage reporting, recertifications, and coordinate with owners and regulators. The role requires knowledge of HUD LIHTC/Section 42, Fair Housing, and related programs, plus strong leadership, communication, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years of successful working experience in the apartment management industry, including extensive customer service and leasing/marketing preferred.
• Must have training or experience in basic computer use, including Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as experience with web-based software used in apartment management (Yardi Voyager).

Responsibilities

• Complete move ins/outs/re-certifications/interims as required by HUD and NHE guidelines.
• Monitor regulatory compliance on behalf of owner/agent with LIHTC/Section 42, HUD Section 8/PRAC/HAP, HOME, HTF, etc.
• Oversee compliance with Fair Housing Laws.
• Ensure each property adheres to its program-type regulations.
• Interpret and apply IRS Section 42 and HUD regulations and recommend compliance changes.
• Prepare and participate in management reviews and inspections by third parties, housing authorities, or HUD.
