Job summary

NHE, Inc. is seeking a Community Manager for our Gardens at Montague & Harbour Station Apartments in North Charleston, SC. The role oversees fiscal accountability, marketing, regulatory compliance, and asset management for LIHTC or Section 8 properties.

The Community Manager supervises onsite staff, handles staffing and training, reviews performance, and ensures timely administrative functions while working a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or two years of successful working experience in the apartment management industry, including extensive customer service and leasing/marketing preferred.
• Must have training or experience in basic computer use, including Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with web-based apartment management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee move-ins/outs, re-certifications, and interims per HUD and NHE guidelines.
• Monitor regulatory compliance (LIHTC 42, HUD Section 8/PRAC/HAP, HOME, HTF).
• Ensure Fair Housing compliance and adherence to program regulations.
• Prepare management reviews and inspections with third parties and authorities.
• Supervise onsite staff and oversee hiring, training, and performance management.
