Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) is seeking a Weld Repair Engineer to develop and release weld repair strategies for aerospace components, focusing on minimizing heat input, cracking, and distortion.

You will provide hands‑on technical support to production teams to ensure compliance with OEM requirements, quality standards, and environmental regulations. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings and repair specs to design tooling, fixtures, and optimized parameters that

Qualifications

• Four Year (Bachelor’s) degree in an Engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex technical documentation including OEM repair manuals, FAA Regulations, and blueprints.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to evaluate from technical and mechanical perspective.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and work scope instructions.

Responsibilities

• Improve Quality Rating by developing the weld release strategy before TG2 release.
• Drive continuous improvement by applying successful weld repair approaches as standard practice.
• Use root‑cause analysis to resolve department errors and issues.
• Collaborate with weld technicians and engineers to design improved weld procedures and control process parameters.
• Generate technical work instructions and documentation for complex weld repairs.
• Review and adjust repair plans based on risk and OEM documentation.
