Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL, seeks experienced manufacturing engineers to own hardware processes across inspection, fabrication, assembly and test. You will manage sequence, cost, quality and schedule, review drawings, and drive DFMA/DFX in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace, and lean manufacturing experience. On-site role with diverse shifts available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware manufacturing experience (machining, welding, assembly, NDT, leak testing, MES).
• Lean manufacturing methodology experience.
• DFMA/DFX principles into design and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing work instructions for hardware processes: inspection, fabrication, assembly, test, and integration.
• Manage build sequence, cost, quality, and schedule across manufacturing lifecycle.
• Review drawings, approve manufacturing processes, make go/no-go decisions.
• Drive DFMA and DFX principles into design processes.
• Lead test procedures, operate automated test equipment.
