Job summary

Flytrex Inc. is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Production Manufacturing team in Pilot Point, TX.

You will perform assembly, testing, conformity evaluations, and QC procedures for the Flytrex UAS, coordinating with the supply chain team at our IL headquarters to ensure compliance with design and manufacturing specifications. Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience working with small electronic systems, electrical circuitry, motor systems, or demonstrated technical expertise in aircraft, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), or rotorcraft.
• Strong foundational understanding of engineering principles and practical manufacturing applications.
• Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and communicate professionally.
• Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify technical data to perform root-cause analysis on routine issues.
• Support supplier quality selection and evaluate supplier processes for compliance.
• Assist with audits to verify compliance with QMS, regulatory guidelines, and customer specs.
• Perform final adjustments, alignments, and calibrations to meet quality standards.
• Safely operate hand and power tools per work instructions.
• Use precision measuring instruments (scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges).
• Handle and apply epoxy resins and bonding systems.
• Follow engineering documentation and complete work orders accurately.
• Perform sub-assembly and component assembly operations with bonding and riveting.
• Interpret engineering drawings and trim schematics to assemble components efficiently.
• Set up fixtures, jigs, and testing equipment for sub-assembly fabrication.
• Assemble, fit, and align metallic, carbon fiber, and composite details onto structures.
• Conduct checks and final functional validations on assembled systems.
• Document audit findings and inspection results in standardized formats.
• Provide documentation of quality testing results.
• Identify, report, and document discrepancies; manage non-conforming parts.
• Initiate Corrective Action Requests for recurring non-conformances.
• Ensure operations comply with aviation regulations and Flytrex policies.
• Drive continuous process improvement across manufacturing operations.
• Operate safely in an indoor manufacturing facility with calibrated tooling.
• Participate in meetings and training; flexible with shifts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
