Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Bloomington, MN, is seeking a Tool Pattern Maker to craft tooling for aerospace sandcasting. You will build and maintain pattern tooling, fixtures, and mold components, interpret 2D/3D drawings, and support gating layouts to optimize casting quality.

The role provides a stable weekday schedule, a competitive hourly pay range of $32-$35 with up to 5% quarterly bonus, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) with company match

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in pattern making or related field
• 3–5 years pattern making experience in foundry or tooling environments
• Strong ability to interpret 2D and 3D blueprints
• Experience supporting mold layout, gating integration, and fixture building
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship mindset
• Willingness to support overtime when needed

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pattern tooling, fixtures, and mold components for foundry operations
• Integrate gating designs into mold layouts to support casting performance and manufacturability
• Produce complex core geometries from engineering blueprints
• Interpret both 2D and 3D technical drawings
• Establish mold lines and parting geometries using precision handcraft techniques
• Support bench work including fixture construction, parting setup, box building, and rigging work
• Participate in tooling improvement initiatives and special projects
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace
• Follow all safety, environmental, DOT, and HAZMAT procedures
