Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Bloomington, MN, is seeking a Pattern Maker to shape tooling for aerospace sandcasting. You will build and maintain pattern tooling, interpret blueprints, and contribute to mold layouts ensuring casting quality and repeatability.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or technical certificate in pattern making and 3–5 years of foundry experience. Strong attention to detail, hands-on craftsmanship, and willingness to work overtime are valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in pattern making or related field.
• 3–5 years of pattern making experience in foundry or tooling environments.
• Strong ability to interpret 2D and 3D blueprints.
• Experience supporting mold layout, gating integration, and fixture building.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship mindset.
• Willingness to support overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pattern tooling, fixtures, and mold components for foundry operations.
• Integrate gating designs into mold layouts to support casting performance and manufacturability.
• Produce complex core geometries from engineering blueprints.
• Interpret both 2D and 3D technical drawings.
• Establish mold lines and parting geometries using precision handcraft techniques.
• Support bench work including fixture construction, parting setup, box building, and rigging work.
• Participate in tooling improvement initiatives and special projects.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace.
• Follow all safety, environmental, DOT, and HAZMAT procedures.
