Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field required.
• 0–5 years in mechanical or product engineering in investment casting.
• Knowledge of DS/SX casting process and metallurgical impact.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer specifications to establish internal NDT specifications.
• Develop metallurgical casting process from gate design to parameters.
• Assess metal structure and DS/SX system behavior.
• Investigate metallurgical failure using root-cause analysis.
• Publish reports on research and completed tests using data-based decisions.
• Identify and improve process yields using data analysis (statistical, DOE, 6-Sigma).
• Document work procedures and processes.
• Routinely audit production lots for repeatability of results.
• Identify, evaluate and implement new process technologies.
• Work closely with other departments to meet objectives.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and professional communication.
• Improve labor utilization and reduce cost.
