Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) Euclid is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help develop and improve investment casting processes and tooling for aerospace and industrial markets. You will learn proven casting methods, contribute to continuous improvement, and work hands-on to solve process challenges impacting quality, yield and rework.

Qualifications

• High level of mechanical aptitude, lean manufacturing knowledge, systematic problem solving or Root Cause Analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with Manufacturing Managers and Business Unit team to implement changes to manufacturing processes, fixtures/tools, and reduce re-work for more efficient production.
• Assesses changes required in the production of parts and develops ways to sustain and improve all implemented ideas.
• Determines best practices to improve workmanship, productivity and efficiency of operators on the floor.
• Looks for areas of constraint, production slowdown issues and suggests ways to speed up processes.
• Refers all quality issues to Production Engineering for review and may assist in problem solving related to manufacturing or processing of a part.
• Establishes and maintains the Lean Manufacturing program; ensures systems are implemented with supervisors.
• Eliminates waste and elevates productivity using Lean Manufacturing.
• Collects standard times, tabulates data and coordinates with production control to input new standards.
• Prepares manufacturing plans (route sequences) and coordinates changes with QA.
• Works with all levels in the organization and external customers.
• Maintains regular attendance and applies statistical methods to estimate future requirements.
