Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is seeking a Pattern Maker at our Bloomington facility to craft precision tooling that directly supports aerospace casting and tooling operations. You will build tooling, stake mold layouts with gating designs, and produce intricate core geometries from engineering blueprints.

The role emphasizes hands-on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and collaboration in a foundry environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in pattern making or related field.
• 3-5 years of pattern making experience in foundry or tooling environments.
• Strong ability to interpret 2D and 3D blueprints.
• Experience supporting mold layout, gating integration, and fixture building.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pattern tooling, fixtures, and mold components for foundry operations.
• Integrate gating designs into mold layouts to support casting performance and manufacturability.
• Produce complex core geometries from engineering blueprints.
• Interpret both 2D and 3D technical drawings.
• Establish mold lines and parting geometries using precision handcraft techniques.
• Support bench work including fixture construction, parting setup, box building, and rigging work.
• Participate in tooling improvement initiatives and special projects.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace.
• Follow all safety, environmental, DOT, and HAZMAT procedures.
