Job summary

Ontic Chatsworth is seeking a Test Engineer to join our aerospace test and integration team. You will design, install and maintain test equipment and verification methods for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Work with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure test capability remains reliable, traceable and compliant with evolving product requirements. This onsite role offers a 9/80 schedule where applicable and opportunities to apply Lean and Six Sigma to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in production with electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic test equipment.
• Experience with test stands, pumps, motors, valves, actuators and measurement instruments.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and overhaul manuals; perform failure analysis.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain test equipment and processes for aerospace products.
• Troubleshoot test systems across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic domains.
• Develop PLC/data-acquisition programs and testing procedures.
• Maintain calibration records and preventive maintenance.
• Support new product introduction and capability development.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations and suppliers.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma and data-driven improvements to increase efficiency.
