Job summary

Ontic Chatsworth, CA is seeking a Test Engineer to design, install, and maintain test equipment and processes for aerospace products. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic test systems and develop automated test solutions to support product requirements.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Suppliers to improve capability, while applying Lean principles to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years with electro‑mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic test equipment.
• Experience with test stands, pumps, motors, valves, actuators and instruments.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics and overhaul manuals.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain test equipment and processes.
• Troubleshoot test systems to identify root causes.
• Develop test stands and automated test solutions.
• Maintain calibration records and technical documentation.
