Job summary

Ontic is hiring an Assembler in Chatsworth, California, to build mechanical and electromechanical products from engineering drawings and specifications. You will install and align components, perform electrical assembly including soldering, and assist with functional testing.

You’ll work with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality to resolve issues and document results. We welcome candidates with hands-on assembly experience at various levels, who can troubleshoot and share knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, hands-on assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specs or work instructions.
• Experience with soldering and wire termination is valuable for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical products using drawings and specs.
• Install, align and fit components with hand tools and torque equipment.
• Perform electrical assembly, soldering and wire preparation; test as needed.
• Support inspection, calibration and functional testing to verify requirements.
• Document quality and production data; help improve work instructions and processes.
