Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech seeks a Test Engineer II in Ann Arbor, MI to own full testing operations for defined energy subsystems within the UAS platform. This role supports verification plans, cross-disciplinary coordination, and development validation throughout the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and flight test teams to ensure system-level performance and reliability, leading smaller workstreams and maintaining rigorous documentation and traceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• 2–4 years of systems or multidisciplinary engineering experience.
• Experience with environmental tests (vibration, shock, thermal cycling).
• Experience developing test environments (bench setups, chambers, HILs).
• Familiarity with verification planning, procedures and data evaluation.
• Strong reading of schematics and datasheets; familiarity with EMI/EMC standards.

Responsibilities

• Own test operations from plan creation to data analysis and report generation.
• Troubleshoot bench instrumentation and DUTs focusing on IO and control performance.
• Automate repetitive tests using Python or similar tools.
• Collaborate with design engineers to maintain test plans, SOPs, and hardware/software test rigs.
• Ensure traceable, auditable test results and evidence of performance.
