Job summary

Marotta Controls, Inc. in Montville, NJ is seeking a Technician/Mechanic II to set up and operate pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for in-space propulsion applications.

You will follow schematics and specifications, test hardware and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable performance. The role requires a high school diploma, 3–5 years of manufacturing/testing experience, and the ability to work with specialized test equipment and hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing/testing environment.
• Mechanical or electro-mechanical product testing experience.
• Ability to read schematics/ drawings and use measuring devices.
• US Citizen required.
• Knowledge of high pressure fluids and hazardous chemicals; PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Primary duty is to ensure products perform their intended function.
• Read and interpret procedures, schematics, and drawings; verify tooling geometries.
• Conduct end-of-line functional testing on valve components and record results.
• Set up and operate tools and equipment for assembly and testing.
• Identify test failures, perform rework, and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and proper PPE usage.
